What is not also not being told the facts that where slave traders that did business with tribes who had violently attack other tribes for a number of reasons that captured and enslaved the survivors for their own servitude and did trade with the slave traders...
The perceived notion that slave traders traveled abroad to hunt down potential slaves and to picture them using nets or pit-traps etc is absurd?
All tribes had warriors and the means for self-defense and hunters that posed a problem as slavers did not want to engage in a fight since the average tribe population will outnumber the slavers and shipmates?
Don't underestimate that indigenous tribes can be a dangerous opponent... a history lesson between GB trained soldiers versus the Zulu tribes even as many 1,000s have died in battle or from critical wounds they still defeated a modern military force that had an extreme advantage using firearms, sabers, cannons, and a cavalry regiment as it was clear victory for Zulus against a British invasion of Zululand...

No different of tribes and ancient civilizations around the world of human history that had conquered others to take their lands, their goods, killed many, raped and pillaged to genocide, enslaved the survivors or have doctrine them into their society over time?

In the spirit of Jacques Francis and all of our ancestors who were free divers long before it was a thing, this was a beautiful story.

Funny how Nat Geo never featured Dr. Anthony T. Browder, Dr. Ivan Van Sertima nor Dr. Yosef Ben Jochanan. They’ve all done archeological field research in Africa & The Americas as well as published several books on the topic. Then again Nat Geo has admitted to their racism & bigotry against black people so I’m not surprised.
