That guy who wins in the cathegory of medicine at the beginning of the video: I remember when I watched his TED talk. Does it mean that his idea of detecting cancer by using carbon microtube is actually warking?

In his TED speach several years ago he was talking about his Idea of using carbon microtubes mixed with cancer antibodies so that the microtubes chage their electricity conductiveness when the antibodies come in contact with the protein associated to a certain kjind of cancer, but the idea was still in development. If he won because af that idea does it mean that it's finally warking? That would really be a breaktrough.

That guy screeching at the beginning wasn't the one who said that he could detect cancer with a piece of paper and still hasn't showed any proof that it's even posible?
