So the creatures are dying yet as humans all we care about is the "poor" fisherman and businesses. Like hey sorry bro about all your family dying...I'm also sad cuz i can't leech off your survival anymore.

I guess Japanese would love Trump now. Unlimited urchins.

Ok in case someone doesn't get the joke: not all urchins are edible and only a very few species taste good. I'm pretty sure the one caused this plague isn't delicious. And if you believe in science, please leave Trump alone. The U.S. achieved such great altitude because of plenty of fund poured into fundamental scientific researches. Just go check the history around WWII. That's how the U.S. became so powerful. Science gives us advances that can often only be seen decades later. Don't chop down trees for fruits as thats not gonna help at all, if any.

Shhhhhhhhhhhh ng, make sure you don't mention anything about Fukushima and the die off and collapse of the entire Pacific oceans ecosystem. Maybe it's best to delete/censor this comment so people do not start asking questions that don't know ! Oh, and also stick to the narrative of "acidification of the ocean" blame global warming and attack the middle class average Joe. Tell the people to pay Al Gore and the Clinton arkancide Foundation and they'll make it all better. But shhhhhh. Don't mention anything about the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse aka Fukushima Daichi...

Comment section

90% socialist woke liberals complaining about climate change whilst not offering any useful solutions as to how to tackle the issue what so ever very hypocritical.

10% actual useful solutions as to how to tackle the issue at hand.

About eating the sea urchins, we in Chile eat another variety of them, so I can't tell whether the taste is the same. Ours has a taste of iodine, but soft and creamy. It's a delicacy and pretty expensive. Acquired taste maybe for someone who had never eaten them, but if you like fish roe, it's close, but stronger. Stopping climate change and saving the ecosystem is the best option for the abalone and humankind, but eating the sea urchins meanwhile isn't such a bad idea.

Thank you F and G for shutting it down.
Now do a total ban on fisheries for as many years as it takes for the young population to grow up again.
